Rain-X in the Shower?????

Have you heard about spraying down the walls of your shower with Rain-X? Someone told me this keeps you from having to clean the shower so often. A good alternative to the expensive shower cleaners at the store. I was wondering if any of you have done this? If so, does it work and does it make the floor slippery?

  1. Actually PPG Aquapel would last much longer than RainX ( the doors must be glass), and all you have to do is squeegee the water off after a shower and you won't have to scrub them with cleaning products at all.
Aquapel lasts six months on a car windshield and a year on rear and side windows (Rain X - about a month) so I would imagine it could last quite a while in the shower.
And since Rain X just coats the glass with silicone, I would guess that it could build up a residue on your shower the way it does on auto glass
